400 g | Taifun Smoked Tofu |
4 | burger buns |
3 | pickles |
160 ml | vegan teriyaki sauce |
2 | tomatoes |
1 | onion |
2 tbsp. | mustard |
chili powder | |
4 tbsp. | oil for frying |
4 leaves | of lettuce |
Heat the burger rolls as described on the package and let cool. Coarsely grate the pickles with a grater (or use thin pre-sliced pickles). Gently heat the grated pickle in a pot with the teriyaki sauce; do not bring to a boil.
Slice the tomatoes into half-centimeter slices. Cut the onion in half and then slice finely. Mix the mustard with the chili powder. Cut the Smoked Tofu in half lengthwise. Fry the tofu in oil on both sides. Shortly before it is done, add the onion slices and sauté.
Spread the mustard blend on the insides of the buns. Place the Smoked Tofu slices on the lower halves of the buns. Distribute the teriyaki pickle evenly on top. Then place two slices of tomato, a leaf of lettuce and the fried onions on that. Put the two halves of the buns together and eat immediately.
